FAQ

Real shop answers. No fake prices. No file upload. Birmingham.

How do I know the table or spoilboard isn’t flat?

One corner of the part is thin and the opposite corner still has tabs. A straightedge rocks on the board. Paper slides under one end only. If two of those are true, flatten before the next paid run.

What’s the difference between the table and the spoilboard?

The table is the iron. The spoilboard is the sacrificial sheet on top of it. Face the board first. Flatten the iron only if the bed itself is out. See table flattening and why the table is lying.

What is tram?

Tram is the spindle sitting square to the table. If you flatten a cocked spindle, you copy the lean onto the board. Fix tram, then face the spoilboard. How to flatten a CNC spoilboard walks through that order.

Do you sell surfacing bits?

Not yet. We do not list bits or cutters for sale. Use the facing tool you already have, or ask when you write. Shop SKUs are blanks, samples, and gift cards.

How do I get a flattening quote?

Contact us. Send a photo of a straightedge on the surface and the size. There is no upload form. Price is a quote. It depends on size and how far out the surface is. No add-to-cart, no starting-at number.

Where are you?

Birmingham, Alabama. Local pickup. We do not pretend to be a national instant-cut shop.
